Hi! I'm a college student from Connecticut. I'm also sometimes from New York City where I live with my parents, sister, and pet cockatiel named posy. (That's where I got my username on swapbot/etsy - the "plum" doesn't really mean anything, I just liked the alliteration, I guess.) I enjoy lots of different crafts, including jewelry making and bead-work, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. I also have done a bit of ceramics, although I don't have a studio to take classes at right now. I speak spanish, and spent some time living in Mexico last year, which is why I was pretty inactive around here for a few months. I also spend a lot of time dancing and playing trombone and piano.
I have an etsy account, but haven't updated my shop for a while - I hope to revive it one of these days! If you're interested in setting up a private swap for items on my etsy site or other craft items I make, just let me know! I'm looking forward to swapping all types of homemade goodies with you!
This is bound to change, but at the moment books by: Annie Proulx, Douglas Hofstadter, Jack Finney, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Ursula K Leguin, JD Salinger, Kurt Vonnegut, Philip Pullman, Vladimir Nabokov, poetry by ee cummings and Ogden Nash among others, also Peanuts and Calvin and Hobbes
I am notoriously under-educated movie-wise. I still have a few favorites, though: All of the Marx Brothers movies, Wallace and Gromit (not the new one so much though), Bringing Up Baby, Philadelphia Story, Throw Mama From a Train, Sleuth, Bananas, Take the Money and Run, The Sting,
Likes: anything from my wishlist - or things inspired by it; silly putty; silly things in general; dark chocolate; tea; awesome socks!!; peanuts + calvin and hobbes (the comics, although the nuts/philosophers are cool too); things with images from classic children's books and illustrators (anything from Eric Carl to Cicely Mary Barker); handmade things; natural products/natural body products; lip balm from crazy rumors; tactile things; pretty things; dangly earrings and delicate necklaces, tiny cute adorable things (not so into kawaii though, sorry); rich colors; animals; music - especially world music, folk music, blues, swing and jazz; trombone sheet music; dance; traveling; craft supplies; cooking/baking vegetarian and vegan food;
I have an overall normal/basic "style" if you could call it that, leaning slightly towards ethnic-y/earthy/delicate/I probably got it at salvation army, ... and things that are new to me too, for sure - surprise me :)
I can always use - sterling silver jewelry findings, glass beads, scraps of silver or silver filled wire Randomly looking for right now - exacto pen-like knife (eg the retractable ones)
Dislikes: Meat products (I'm a vegetarian, not vegan though so dairy, beeswax, wool and the like are ok); cigarette smoke and things that smells like it; coffee (although coffee flavored/scented things are ok, just not coffee); incense; religious items; Also, though I like other kinds of art supplies and craft supplies- I'm not a scrapbooker! so no scrap book supplies, please. Thanks!

Hey, checking on the package I sent for March is Craft month? Please leave a rating. Thanks!
Hey, did you get my envelope with the cockatiel ATC? I hope so!
Thank you so much for the perfumes, CD, paper, and letter for the tag game! I was really delighted. I have not, in fact, heard most of what's on the CD-- I'm only recently into Balkan, so this is exciting and will expand my knowledge for sure. So far the only perfume I've tried is the "pink vanilla", but it's good stuff! Just a tip, when sending those little sample vials, it's generally a good idea to tape around the lids so nothing leaks-- they tend to when mailed for some reason. Everything got here fine but I thought I'd just share some advice in case you do more mailings of this type in the future. Thanks again Emma, you totally rock =)
Your cockatiel is soo cute. I love cockatiels. I have about 20 of them and love them all.
I'm very late on sending your Favorite Theme ATC, I missed it in my list of ATC's "to do". It will be in the mail tomorrow! I hope you like it!
Love your Cockatiel!
