I am into quilting, quilting, quilting. I have a background in science and math, and love these subject dearly, even the parts I don't remember as well anymore. I work in a lab, so lab coat stuff, chemical drawings, lewis structures is all very welcome to me.
Anything scientifically or mathematically skewed is always a PLUS! However, anatomy objects will probably make my stomache turn green.
I have recently combined my love of science with my love of quilting in a quilting podcast.
I am a dark background type of quilter. I have had a hard time making myself work with neutrals or neutral backgrounds and I am always fooling around with darker colors in the quilt.
I tend to already own a lot of blue and green fabrics, but I am trying to expand my color pallete. If getting items for a undesignated fabric (like a strip swap), I would end up doing best receiving blue and green items to compliment my stash.
However, I also really like black and white prints, even though I don't have that many of them either.
Go bold bold bold bright bright bright with the colors.
Scrappy isn't my natural thing, but I am willing to try it out a few times. Otherwise, I like matchy matchy matchy colors.
Would prefer to have 2-4 colors in a scrappy swap. Two colors preferred, but would also take a deep bright color paired with a neutral or with black.
Actively wanting some of the following combinations: yellow & blue red & blue orange & blue
