I live in the southeastern United States and have been married to the same man for 20+ years. By choice I have no children and therefore no grandchildren. I have two cats who graciously allow me to live with them.

FAVORITE MUSIC I don't listen to music much anymore but when the mood does hit I like upbeat music. My tastes vary from New Age to Native American to Country and Western oldies.

FAVORITE BOOKS I am an avid reader. I prefer series books and some of my favorite authors are J.D. Robb's "In Death" series, Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse books, John Sandford's Lucas Davenport series, P.J. Tracy's Monkeewrench series, Simon Green's Nightside books, and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. I've just started reading Sue Grafton's alphabet series.

FAVORITE TELEVISION As far as tv goes, I don't watch a lot but when I do I tend to go for the quirky shows like Life, Pushing Daisies, Eureka and Fringe. A few "normal" shows sneak in like NCIS, In Plain Sight and Burn Notice. As a general rule I don't watch mainstream reality tv but I do like reality shows like Ice Road Truckers and The First 48.

FAVORITE CRAFTS It seems I've reached a point in my life where I can't be satisfied with one craft for too long. I keep wanting to experiment and see what I can discover. There's a snail mail company that offers a craft club and I joined it a few months back. Each month they send a different craft to try and so far that's kept me interested. At one time I used to sew - both clothing and basic home dec - but that's fallen by the wayside. Recently I've started crazy quilting again and am working in the white/ecru color family. I can crochet but I'm not an expert. I'm trying to learn Swedish emboridery. I've read numerous times that's it's easy - and I guess it is - but I'm having difficulties understanding the patterns. I can cross-stitch and do a little embroidery. I'd love to learn decorative painting but I just don't seem to have the patience to practice right now.

ODDS AND ENDS My favorite color, well it might be easier to just say that I don't like brown - in any form. Other than that I like all colors. I am an animal lover but have an affinity for cats. I am slowly switching my cooking over to whole grain/healthier. I'm thinking about planting a small vegetable garden next year. I publish a monthly newsletter and I'm the webmistress of a website for a small non-profit group that I belong to. I'd had never guessed a couple years ago that I'd be responsible for a website since I have no training and it has been a learning experience. My home decorating style is country. I'm finding that as I get older strong aromas are beginning to bother me so I'd like to avoid fragranced items if possible.
