I'm Sabrina, 43, from Cologne. I was born in the Ruhr area but have lived in Cologne since 2003 where I studied Medieval and Modern History, English language & literature and Scandinavian Studies.
I work for German television in the field of broadcast operations and besides, I'm a part-time student of psychology and cultural sciences at a distance university.
Furthermore, I'm a local committee member of the German Green party and co-event director of Rheinpark parkrun.
Due to a lot of commitments and limited time, I don't have any animals at the moment.
I'm a vegetarian with vegan tendencies and an animal rights supporter.
I love (long-distance) hiking, running (especially at parkruns!), music, literature, travelling (North Sea islands, UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Netherlands), writing letters with quill pens and ink, medieval history, anything British, tattoos, paganism, the supernatual, literature, languages & linguistics, theatre, photography, cycling, yoga, strength training, watching football (Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool FC & FC St. Pauli).
80s, post-punk, new wave, The Prodigy (RIP Flinty boy), Inkubus Sukkubus, Kaizers Orchestra, Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Clash, The Jam, Bauhaus, London After Midnight, Joy Division, Siouxsie & The Banshees, U2, Holygram, Apoptygma Berzerk, The Smiths, Pink Turns Blue, Rammstein, The Doors, Pink Floyd

As I love writing, I suppose I'll primarily take part in letter-writing and postcard swaps. Postcrossing has made me such an addict as regards the latter. :)
I'm still new here but I've noticed that it seems to be a really big issue here. As I've been penpalling for more than 25 years, I'm fully aware of the fact that mail can take a while to be delivered or even get lost. The latter doesn't happen often but it does happen. Since corona started some of my overseas mail I sent and received has taken 4 weeks and longer to arrive as there are fewer flights between the continents.
If you sent something that doesn't seem to arrive, don't worry, I'm a laid back person with a life, a full-time job, hobbies and friends. I don't check several times a day which swaps should have already arrived. So I'm not going to rate you down just because mail delivery takes longer than usual. As soon as you've posted something it's beyond your control.
If you haven't received anything from me after quite a while, feel free to send me a message. I always take photos of the things I mail in front of the post box, so I can send you the photo that has the EXIF data including the date and local time. Why should I keep something that has been stamped and has the recipient's address on it? I always send swaps out on time. There's a post office on the ground floor of the house I live in, and I can even post my stuff at work as outgoing mail is picked up from our office twice a day.
