Post-apocalyptic scavenger girl currently living in the future ruins of Chicago. I love Industrial/EBM music, cats, speculative science fiction, abandoned buildings, old rusty junk, the Mad Max movie series, fishing, useful vintage industrial design, travel and road trips, New Orleans, club dancing, upstate Michigan, thrift shopping, robots, and sushi. My most recent obsessions are planner supplies (I have a very simple and plain Blue Sky planner), stationery and letter writing supplies (especially Punch Studio), Dollar Tree, couponing, the passage of time, and the Animal Crossing and Monument Valley video games. I recycle/reuse/repurpose as much as I am able, and I will always prefer handmade, repurposed, or vintage to store bought new. I am fortunate enough to make a living as an artist - for a steady paycheck, I'm a leather artisan working for a friend's company, and I also have my own hobby business making jewelry from post-industrial found objects.

Recent news:
(3-14-17) Started to get into couponing, but not in an extreme reality TV way, just want to save some money on the things we already buy. I put in a list below if anyone wants to swap or gift me some coupons they aren't using!

(2-6-17) Finally broke down and got a planner, just a fairly plain and inexpensive Blue Sky one but I wanted to have a lot of choice about how it was decorated (most big name planners are WAY too girly for me). Now I am totally obsessed with planner supplies.

For those of you that aren't familiar with this genre, think the Tron Legacy or Matrix soundtrack and you'll be at least close. I have been an active member of the Goth/Industrial scene for many, many years. I also enjoy popular electronic dance music - Usher, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, Tiesto, etc.

I am a huge movie fan in a very narrow genre. The Mad Max movie series is my all-time favorite - Beyond Thunderdome is the best of the best. Other favorites include Blood of Heroes, the Predator series, Equilibrium, The Matrix, Blade Runner, Oblivion, Tron Legacy, In Time, the Alien series, Pandorum, and The Island. I will watch anything speculative science fiction, dystopian, post-apocalyptic, and cyberpunk. I also like documentaries.

I live in Chicago but receive my mail at my workplace in Wisconsin. My mail at home isn't secure and tends to go missing from my apartment foyer.

For swapping purposes, I like planner supplies, stationery, letter sets, and stickers. I like creative and unusual themes best but cats and vintage French/shabby chic style are always reliable choices. I make all kinds of things, and love to try new projects.

Dislikes - Please, no coffee, childish cartoon characters - Diddl, Snoopy, Pooh, Disney, etc. (although kawaii is okay as long as it's cats, especially San-X Kutusita Nyanko and Sanrio's Chococat), Christian themes, Christmas, Thanksgiving, candy or food, cosmetics, or anything related to human babies/children (animal babies are fine). I have nothing against these or you if they're your thang, I just have no interest in or use for any of them. Thank you!

If you don't receive anything from me within like two weeks of the due date, please let me know and I will be happy to resend. I am paranoid that my things might get lost, stolen, or eaten by postal machines and would definitely want to know if they go missing. Also, please don't hesitate to let me know if something arrives postage due so I can compensate you - I recently read about various reasons this can happen EVEN IF you mail directly from the clerk at the post office and this makes me uneasy. :(
