I am sorry. I will not participate in any more swaps. If you were my partner you WILL receive your items if you haven't already. It has not been my month, maybe even year, but the computer issues turned out to be the least of my worries. No excuses, just personal issues that have caused a great deal of heartache & grief. I was so excited to participate & it was never my intention to let my swaps fall thru the cracks. Hope everyone can understand. :) Best wishes.
QUICK FYI: (April 29, 2007) I am so sorry to my partners! My computer has been down for daaaays & I couldn't get the addresses I needed to send to! Please bear with me - all is going out tomorrow! You are not forgotten, I promise! :)
I'm Kel, wife to Craig, mom to 3 boys, and total yarn junkie. I love to crochet, wish I could knit more than knots, and love all things handmade. My summer challenge: to learn a lil' something about quilting.
My kitchen: turquoise & white - fun, beachy theme
My favorite colors: turquoise, pinks, browns, & black
I love: shabby chic stuff, starfish & big seashells
I am addicted to: Magazines! I love crochet & home decorating magazines. And yarn, I love yarn -even when I have no clue what I will do with it!
Books I like: don't laugh, but I'm a sucker for chick lit. I like Sophie Kinsella, Marian Keyes, Meg Cabot, and yes even Jackie Collins smutty stuff. I guess that life gets so serious sometimes that the only thing I want to read is something fun & fluffy. I read The Devil Wears Prada long before they thought of making the movie & The Nanny Diaries too - which is coming this summer. I love it when that happens, even if the books are usually better.
Then again, Sydney Sheldon, James Patterson, Erica Spindler, and a few other mystery writers have lured me in as well! Not big on the romance type tho.
I have had an ongoing love affair with chocolate for as long as I can remember! I love, love, love it & can't seem to say no.
Cupcakes are another guilty pleasure - but with these I get just as much of a kick out of making them as I do scarfing them down with the kiddos!
I enjoy wine tasting, but still haven't acquired a taste for the red ones. My mom says it comes with maturity - and Lord but I hope THAT never happens!
I think Tinkerbell rocks & have since before she was "cool". Hey wait, has Tink ever NOT been cool?
Since I have a hubby & 3 sons with which I live, its no joke when I say I reside in "The House O' Testosterone!" - I may have been a little on the TomBoy side as a kid, but these days I love all things girly & whimsical.
Girls night out is a must! And that is usually with my Stitch & Bitch gang every other week (not often enough if you ask me).
Spending time on the beach with the kids is the best ever. Wish it could be summer all year round so I'd never had to hang up my beach towel or kick off my flip flops.
My music tastes are pretty varied. I like rock & country, Top 40 stuff to R&B. Off the top of my head I would say my faves include Uncle Kracker, Nickelback, Madonna (always), Pink, Dave Matthews, James Taylor, Daniel Powder, Tim McGraw, a bit of Shania, Jessica Simpson, oooh and I just heard Robin Thicke - he's yummy to listen to. And if you promise not to tell, I'll even admit to having a little thing for 80's hair bands! Oh and soundtracks.
Wow, lots of those too. Pretty Woman, Breakfast @ Tiffany's, I am Sam, Bridges of Madison County, Pulp Fiction, and so many more but I just can't think....
Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Big Brother (when its on), ANTM (guilty), House, The Soprano's, Big Love, The View, Oprah. Favorite repeats: Sex & The City & Friends.
Crochet, and soon Quilting but not yet!

I don't think I ever thanked you for the sweet comment about the penpal swap. I hope you do visit Sewanee -- and where is your favorite place in Tennessee?
Hope you're enjoying your swaps!
