Comment: I absolutely love the flamingo you painted! You didn’t sign your art, though. I am going to hang it on my cubicle at work. FUN FACT: my sister and her family live in Deridder, so I pass through Leesville several times a year to go see them! Her husband is stationed at Fort Polk. Happy Swapping!
Comment: Great PC! And Hawaii is beautiful. I went once only because I used airline miles to buy 2 tickets and my boyfriend exchanged his timeshare so we stayed for free in a condo. So we money to spend on fun stuff! Hope you make it there one day! Thank you!
Comment: Happy Birthday!! I feel like Frosty the snowman! lol thanks for my birthday card! it came at exactly the right time! love the recipe cards! so cute!
Comment: Thank you for such a beautiful card and goodies tucked inside. I just adore the sweet little cat notecard. Happy Birthday to you also. Hugs, Mona
Comment: I'm guessing my summer plans and yours will be very different, just based on geography. I plan to spend mine on day/weekend trips to Philly, upstate NY and Cape May. I also love oysters and champagne on a sunset cruise along the Hudson and going to outdoor movies, festivals and performances - which we have plenty of. I hope you have a wonderful summer
Comment: Thank you for the Arkansas card. My son lived in Little Rock for a few years a little over 20 years ago.. We visited a few times. Once we spent 3days in Hot Springs. Loved it.
Comment: Thank you for the Grand Cayman PC Marilyn! I have a very long "vacation" list always! I think any one of the Caribbean islands would be a great choice! I've been to Grand Cayman once on a cruise but the islands are nice to just go for a week and get into the "caribbean vibe". I hope you have a nice vacation :D
Comment: Thank you for the colorful, cool Caribbean map card, colorful and cheery washi tapes and umbrella sticker, and matching nautilus shell postage! Congratulations on enrolling!
Comment: Hello again, neighbor! :) Thank you for your kind words (and in your smiling handwriting!) and the cool view of Ford's Theatre and the Peterson house; I remember being intrigued with both the history and theatrical elements of this stop on my eighth grade Washington, D.C. class trip. It also reminded me of how I wanted so badly to see Judith Light as Hedda Gabler in summer 2001 at D.C.'s Shakespeare Theatre.
Comment: Hello Marilyn,
Thank you for your postcard you sent me for this swap. It sounded like you were going to have a busy day. Make sure you take time for you.

Comment: Thank you for your helpful comment about the weekly meal planning :). You have some really good goals for this year! I know you will succeed at all of them if you stick with them. Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you for the cool and colorful Elvis postcard, for sharing your artistic goal with me, and for the spiffy stars adorning your font-like handwriting, Marilyn :) Wishing a creative 2017 for us all!
Comment: Hi Marilyn! Thanks for the great PC! I love the antique feel to it! I will check out bible journaling... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Comment: Love your words! I hope you're looking for a new pen-pal because I have totally written you a response which will be in the mail tomorrow. 😜(Apologies in advanced, Its a 2am letter 😬) Merry Christmas!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful PC. I'm as ready for Christmas as I will be. I'll be spending it away from home again so I will just go spend it with a friend and her family. Happy Holidays.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card! I haven't read "The Devil in the White City" but I've seen a few documentaries about Dr. H. H. Holmes. Scary guy!
Comment: Great job on the Operation Christmas Child! We did that when my Son was is grade school. I just bought a bunch of 'comfort items' for the patients doing chemo for Craft Hope.
Comment: Thank you for the pretty card and the extras. Our frigid weather has arrived. This morning, with the wind chill figured in, it was minus 32 degrees. And my silly kitty thought he wanted to go outside. I feel sorry for the birds and squirrels at the feeder. We make sure to keep it filled all Winter. Thanks again.
Comment: Everything about this post card makes me smile; I love the colorful decorations you added (the magenta banners, the purple & blue address), the squid sticker and best of all the image of the post card EEK! a dungeon? ha! ha! Thanks so much Marilyn!!
Comment: Thank you so much Marilyn!!! They all look really good! I'm really looking forward to trying the red tea. I've never even heard of red tea before. Thanks again!
Comment: Hello! School is going ok.
My niece loves to collect Disney! She has most of em up on her wall:] ofcourse she picks what she likes lol and Waldo's I collect lol ill share with her once she is a bit older :D thanks for this card!!
Comment: OMG! You went WAY overboard and I can't thank you enough :) The list journal was awesome (already having fun filling it out!) and SO MANY AMAZING EXTRAS! Thank you so much - I loved everything. Wish I could give more hearts <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Comment: Just got your card today and couldn't help thinking the Keep Calm and Carry On combined with your message is/was unfortunately ironic. Hope you're safe and dry! Thanks for the card - <3
Comment: Thank you for the lantern, and the plethora of stamps thereupon :P I dig it! I love this style, actually... one of my secret geek-outs is building entryways and sconces from the late 19th and early 20th century. They really don't know how to dress up a good entryway anymore... this actually looks pretty similar to one I've seen here in Portland lol
Comment: Love the card. The dancers are very colorful. As far as advice. 1) the larger the group the easier everything gets. Especially play dates with other like minded moms. 2) child hood is too short to try and make your kids be like anybody else. enjoy them and discovery what make them individuals. 3) only fight the battles you are willing to die for. 4) remember hair grows back, and doesn't determine beauty. whether it is blue, a mohawk or some other crazy trend. 5) all adult children are determined to raise their children differently and better than their parents did. that means the book of parenting should be perfect by now? Here is the problem, toddlers don't read and they only only hear what you read or say to them. Finally) share what you love with your kids from the day they are born. they may not follow in your foots steps but they will always know you loved them enough to allow them to grow in your special place. kids don't need their own (fill in the blank) they need to learn to live in your world. Hope this helps and isn't too presumptions. Hugs Jennifer
Response: Thank you so much for all the advice! I'm going to write this down. ;) Glad you liked the postcard too.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard....you picked some very interesting words! Interesting how we find words we never heard of! Thanks again for the swap!
Comment: Thank you! Usually the 'Days' that I hear about are related to food - Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, Pancake Day, Ice Cream Day, etc. - so it's nice to know about Black Cat Appreciation day!
Comment: Thank you so much for my birthday card and surprises! I'm so sorry for the late rating! I had it marked in my notebook as rated. Like I said in my PM, I love the drawing of Medley! It totally made my birthday special!
Comment: Thank you for the vibrant dance (is it Indian? I researched stick dances and found information about kolattam) card and your message! Hope you and your family stay cool; it's been quite humid and rainy here despite it only being solstice tomorrow :)
Comment: Thanks for writing a message that shows you read my profile. On home birth: do it if you can. I loved my home births! On home school: my best advice is don't try to do it like the public schools... and if you need a reason why, read some of John Taylor Gatto's essays. Best of luck!
Comment: I loved the stories about your family. And when I read that your luxury item was cruising, I was all, "Why didn't I think of THAT?" ;-) Thanks for sharing! :-)
Comment: Hi Marlington! Thank you for the covered bridge from New Hampshire! We have them here in Oregon too! Do they have them in every state? I wonder.......and your reference about The Bridges of Madsion County! Wow! We could probably write back and forth a few e mails on this movie........wasnt it so interesting? So many feelings were portrayed in that movie! I think the most poignnant moment in the movie was when the man came into town for the last time and she was so not sure if she wanted to stay with her husband and she was thinking about him. He paused at the 4 way stop for the longest time. Do you remember that moment? What if she had followed her heart and ran off with that man? We will never know....what happens to people who follow their hearts! THEY SOAR! I think i would have left if i was that character in the movie.........I would have risked it all to see what was possible with the magic of LOVE! Thank you!
Comment: Ahhh a postcard from our ancestors the egyptians! LOVED IT! They knew it back then at 1200 BC and i am still saying that as well......some things become very clear when we are being human! So we both live in small towns! Kool! Thank you Marilyn!
Comment: Great kitty card!
Friendly tip, it's helpful to put the Daily Swap Date, because I sign up for most/all of them and it helps narrow it down. :)
Comment: You totally made my weekâ¤ï¸â¤ï¸ Loved the encouraging card, tape and the birds of course! Thanks for taking time to read my profile and be spot on!! Thanks so much and God bless~
Response: You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed everything. :)
