It’s a mystery, a suspense, but mostly a stark commentary on being human. I didn’t like anything I read for close to 2 years after reading it. I also recommend The Lincoln Highway & A Gentleman in Moscow, both by Amore Towles. They take you to other places and times in a most engaging fashion!

I usually read on my kindle but picked up a few print books at the library. I've read most of the books on your list but am going to have to see if my library has a couple of them.
