There isn't really a collectors market for these stamps, so I bought them from her for a little over their face value. I do have fun with the old stamps! Jen

Response: Hi CJ - those envelopes, called lai see in Cantonese (red envelopes or red packets) I pick up in the Asian stores and Chinatowns. They are used at Chinese New Year when married folks give money in them to their unmarried relatives and friends (a bit like how we give money to our little relatives for their birthdays and at Christmas).
