My views are similar to yours in many ways. Except that I understood Marilyn Monroe in a different light because she was technically “big” for her time (wearing size 12) and that made me feel more beautiful since I too have always been big. I was taller than all the boys growing up, and my body is athletic not voluptuous. I’ve learned to love my strength and independence more than those stereotypes of a feminine woman as I grow older too. I’m unique and it feels great! As far as being a wombed man…well, I admire you for knowing what you want and are capable of! Before I met/married my husband, I was a single mother and thinking of adopting a second child from India or the Philippines. I’d decided I didn’t need a male to become a parent. Especially after watching my sister be a surrogate and my best friend adopt. Thank goodness I was born in this era where women have more options! Even volunteer work with orphans and foster kids was satisfying my need to nurture youngsters, while allowing freedom to still be independent! Choices are wonderful, now that we have them! Don’t you agree?
