Description:
Since the "Dirty Limerick" went over so well, I thought we could try a "Dirty Haiku" this time! You will mail one (1) postcard to one (1) partner. The postcard is sender's choice, but must have an original "DIRTY HAIKU" poem written by you on the back. That's it! A Haiku poem consists of three lines. First line has 5 syllables, second line has 7 syllables, and the third line has 5 syllables. That's all there is to it. "5, 7, 5". Any questions? Please feel free to ask! Hope you have fun! :)

Oh, I gotta get a computer. :( Only reason I'm on my husband's iPad now is 'cos he's asleep, and even he can't use it in his sleep. :P

lol... five syllables, then 7 syllables, then 5 syllables. but you have to know what a syllable is. :D

For instance:

sue = one syllable

sue (1)

~~~~~~~~~~

kathleen = two syllables

kath (1) and leen (2)

~~~~~~~~~~

rebecca = three syllables

re (1) becc (2) a (3)

~~~~~~~~~~

Another way of remembering syllables: If you grunted a sentence instead of reading it aloud, each grunt is a syllable!

"swap-bot is silly-funny" = "grunt-grunt grunt grunt-grunt-grunt-grunt" = "7 syllables"
