Description:

These have been around since the beginning of time, and what a great way to save some money on ornaments. I've also seen these done all in pink and sold for breast cancer fundraisers.

If you google images for recycled card ball ornament you will find a number of sites including Martha Stewart with tutorials I'm personally using this site because the tutorial has great step by step instructions and pictures. You can use recycled cards, card stock paper, or even magazine or wrapping paper that you glue onto card stock. They can be embellished with glitter or gold paint on the edges, little beads glued on, or even a tassel at the end. These can be made any size - it depends on the circles you start out with. I'm suggesting you make an the average ornament size - tiny ones are pretty hard to do. ornament tutorial

For this swap you will have one partner to make one ornament for. Remember to package it in a non-crush container for safe shipment please. It's the holidays, make it is nice as you can because it's going to be on display!

This is a Christmas holiday ornament swap, so expect that you might see religious images on some of the recycled cards. If the thought of that is upsetting to you this might no be the swap for you.

Send on time. A swap sent late does not meet this requirement.

I love these ornaments :) My mom used to make them. We had 2 Christmas trees when we got older, and one was completely decorated with these ball ornaments. It was truly gorgeous! My hands won't allow me to make these any more, but I hope you all really enjoy making them!

I just bought a circle cutter at Joannes (with the coupon of course) so I hope I can make as many as your mom's tree Margothecat!

My Grandmother used to make these and hang them from the dining room ceiling. What great memories this brings back!
