I Will keep checking back here for ?s...
FYI>>>I experimented with this today. I used watercolors on wet, dry and even used and washed out filters...they didnt smell of coffee at all even though I love the smell of coffee the most!
I found that the wet ones were more muted and of course the colors ran together nicely...the dry ones held brighter with the colors and brush strokes showed & stayed on them. dry brushing was possible too. Used filters had more of a vintage look... Texture could be obtained by gluing then scrunching a larger piece over the cardstock blank, then trimming to size when dry like you can do tissuepaper textured backgrounds!

my 16 yr old daughter & I had more fun today painting them over a sheet of copy paper so u r actually doing 2 background papers at once! She discovered a really nice technique ...that gives the paper piece a really nice look! She kinda bunched up the wet filter before painting so there were white streaks that looked like lightning on the paper...really nice effect! Have some fun & try it... ALSO METALLIC PAINTS LOOK AWESOME!
