Description:

When my sons were little, we would remove the dust jackets of the picture books they received as gifts to keep them in good shape.

Unfortunately, (or perhaps fortunately for the purposes of envelope making/swapping), I've recently come across a stash of them. Some of the books have already been donated. When I found them, I thought, "I can't wait to make some envelopes from these!"

For this swap, you will make 2 envelopes for your partner from any book dust jacket to use as they wish. The envelopes can be of any mailable size. There are oodles of cheap large format Art Books or fun Children's Picture Books at thrift stores if you don't want to strip your own books.

It would be nice, but not mandatory, to include a notecard or bit of stationery that will fit in the envelope. Or you could include a label for your partner to affix themselves before mailing.

You can use an online or store-bought template (I bought mine from Paper Source) or just carefully tear apart any envelope you have, to use as a template.

I will check profiles and will angel this swap if necessary, but would rather everyone just not flake. Only join if you are committed to making TWO envelopes for your partner.

Start envelope-making now, so you can have a few for yourself, and perhaps one to mail the envelopes in to your partner.

Have FUN!
