Description:

Put on your thinking "cap" and start drinking...lol! What can YOU make with a bottlecap? A pendant, bracelet or charm?? A magnet or pushpin for a bulletin board?? A cute handmade card or atc?? The sky's the limit:) For inspiration, just google bottlecap art.

FUN STUFF: Create "something" using a bottlecap. This is sender's choice and does NOT have to be alcohol themed. Bottlecaps can be new or clean, used caps.

NOT SO FUN STUFF: Mail promptly and rate fairly:)

I stayed up late last night to work on this one...it's really outside the box, but turned out sooo cute, if I don't say so myself...lol! Hope we have some more participants:)

I noticed in a few videos on bottlecap art that some say using resin is better than the decoart brand of varnish and others say the opposite. I don't want what I make to have a sticky surface, do you have a preference @luleemik

Thanks!

I sure do...I use 3D Crystal Lacquer by Sakura Hobby Craft. I can only find it on-line at Amazon...haven't seen it at any of the craft stores in my area.

It's water-based, non-toxic, no odors, cleans up easily w/water and best of all nothing to mix! It dries over-night, crystal clear and not sticky:) Hope this helps:)

Thanks so much, I think I'll get that. If I'm going to put in the effort for a project I want it to last. :-)

I got my Crystal Lacquer and bottle caps yesterday. Now to think of what to make with them. I did a test one with a photo to see if it would bleed at all and it didn't so that made me really happy!

Thanks for the suggestion, @luleemik . :-)

my pleasure...I've never been disappointed with crystal lacquer!
