The fabric has to be 6" inches squared or larger.

This swap is for those of us who would like to liven their stash up and appreciate a few new replacements.

So again...very simple:

-Everyone will be assigned 1 partner

-Each Person will send 10 squares of fabric to their partner.

-5x 100% Printed Cotton

-5x Any Other Quality Fabric

-6" inch squares or larger (if you are willing to part with it - and pay more postage - great!)

You can also include a few goodies if you like... ribbons, buttons, string, iron-ons. This is not a requirement.

** Each Square of fabric must be different, please do not send more than one of the same squares to your partner.

This swap is international and open to swappers with ratings of 4.5 or higher. Newbies with complete profiles are welcome to contact me regarding the swap. Anyone with a bad reputation or incomplete profiles on Swapbot will not be allowed in this swap.

There is plenty of time to dig out those vintage pieces.. so have fun swapping!!!:D

Thanks for joining guys! :D

Thanks for the invite, but I never take specific note of the fiber content of the fabric I buy. The vast majority of my stash is probably 100% cotton (feels like it, anyway, and most of what I buy is in the "quilting" section of the store), but I can't swear to it, and it would be even more difficult to pin down 5 others that are definitely "other" than cotton but still "quality".

"Quality" meaning - not weathered and no holes! lol:D

Daisy, pull some of the threads off the edge, burn them with a lighter, blow it out and waft the smoke to your nose, if it smells like burnt grass, it's cotton, smells like hair it's wool, melts and smells like plastic, a member of the polyester family. Silk dosn't seem to really burn, melt or have much of a smell, that one is hard to describe. Any combination of results is a blend,(melty plastic + burnt hair = wool poly blend). I don't smoke but keep a lighter in my purse for thrift shop yarns with no label and mystery fabrics.

WOW! Trout that is awesome advice!

Do the "other" 5 squares have to be something different than cotton? I don't think I have much non-cotton in my stash...

bellazoo 03/ 9/2008 #

Yes anodyne. This is specifically for us who have allot of everything. The best would be to ask your allocated partner if they mind - so its up to you to take the risk. I know I wouldnt mind personally....but would still appreciate it if my swap partner asked me first as the swap does specify "Any Other Quality Fabric".

Hope everyone has fun with the swap!
