If you participated in the last round, welcome back! You are going to add 2-3 new recipes to the book you have (if you haven't already) and send it out when partners are assigned. For the new participants: purchase or otherwise obtain a Composition book (the marble-looking black and white ones), and decorate it or cover it if you like. On the first page write your name and the swap name and in the back write your address and a note to return the journal home to you when it is full. Write one recipe to share with others and include a short letter on a separate piece of paper telling why you chose this particular recipe. This will be a bi-monthly swap to give the journals time to travel. Next time, in a separate swap, you will take that journal you received and write a recipe and pass it on. We will keep going as long as there is interest. Please only put in realistic and usable recipes, the point is for people to find cool new recipes to try out. The fine print:The minimum qualification to participate is a 4.5. This has changed due to the sheer number of non-sent books that I've had to replace for the US version. Newbies are welcome as long as they have 5 mailed swaps under their belts. No 1-3s in the last 3 months. No exceptions. Please don't flake, this is someone else's recipe book you've got, after all. If you can't participate for a round, please send the book back to the original owner and we'll get yours back to you. When you get your partner's book, send them a PM to let them know you've received it. You will have until June 30th to sign up, mail it out by July 14th. If there are any questions, please ask. |
