Post Apocalyptic Artist Book!

I'm really interested in this swap, but am somewhat afraid I can't produce up to the level of "artist!"

@HappyCrafter , maybe look at some artists books examples to help you decide if you want to join?

EDITED: Very sorry to have had to move the date for this to after the holiday season now. Unfortunately the original date now clashes with the date I've been given for my surgery and I've been on the waiting list so long I really don't want to extend the wait too much, thanks for your understanding :)

Would i be correct in assuming that as long as i have eight full page pictures the rest is up to me? By that i mean... Not necessary to draw on both front and back and blank pages okay. Ive already made my book and it has 60 pages.... I dont want to cut out anything i dont use... And i dont necessarily want to draw on both sides... Can we agree?

I love this idea! I'm obssessed with Zombies!! :D few questions: Is this a book we make ourselves? eg not a store bought book, but pages say stapled together to make a book but front and back covers? would the book need a title?? or words?? :S

This is a fascinating idea, but can I just ask one thing: is the phrase 'post apocalyptic' to be left to the interpretation of the artist? I'd love to do this, but I think I'd like to experiment with the idea of an apocalypse. Artistic licence and whatnot!

I would love to do this. I have a current love of Resident Evil and the Walking Dead but I don't draw or paint. I'm more of a collage and ephemera user. If thats ok then I'd love to join!

@Tbaby yes as long as there are the minimum number of pages - any extra you add to that is fine :)

@Tbaby - it does say in the swap requirements "no blank pages"

@Crazypineapples13 Yes this is a book you make yourself, whether it has a title or not is up to you. Covers are needed as the swap requirements says "sturdy cover"

Also @Crazypineapples13 - the swap requirements says " no requirement to have a story or text in it... just a thought..."

@sostenson - that's fine, it needs to be an "artists book" not a scrap book, but collage is fine as a technique - I make a lot of artists books (some are in galleries) that have used collage as a technique, so I'm fine with that if used in that context.

hi, @Tbaby - I've thought about you asking about 'blank pages' - whilst it does say in the swap requirements "no blank pages", if you have illustrated on one side of the page, then that is not blank and as long as you have not included any pages that are blank on both sides, then that is fine.

A blank side is fine, just not a whole blank page (i.e. both sides).

This requirement was mainly to stop anyone counting a 'blank side' as one of their page count.
