Have you ever made a Tag Book? If you have, you know what fun they are to make. If not, you're about to find out! First of all, you need to make your tag book. Use heavy cardstock for the pages, and chipboard or cereal box cardboard for the covers. You can put them together with a ring, brad or ribbons at the shaped end, or make your covers all one piece and stitch your pages in at the wide end. You could even use notebook rings at the wide end. To see a couple of examples, go to my Flickr photostream and click on the tag books set - http://www.flickr.com/photos/77876212@N07/ Make your book with at least 10 pages. Front and back count as one page, so 10 pieces of cardstock. Then decorate it for your partner to use. Leave some space for photos or journaling, but you have to have some decoration on every page front. You can leave the backs for your partner to do with what they will. Use ephemera, embellishments, book pages, ribbons, inks, stamps, decoupage, collage, paint.....whatever you like, but NO sticker slapping! Make a book you would be proud to show your mother. |
