Description:

As a child I was always amazed by the fact that my Grandmother always seemed to have Good Luck. She always carried in her pocket a little doll that she said was her Lucky Pocket Doll. Her doll I later found out was called a Frozen Charlotte. The dolls in the swap picture are actually an example of Frozen Charlotte Dolls.

Now that is how I came to this swap theme is Lucky Pocket Dolls! For this swap we will send our partner a small doll that maybe they can carry in their pocket or purse if they would like. The doll can be handmade or store bought. But along with the doll we must send a wish of Good Luck for our partner:) Hopefully this will result in the doll bringing lots of luck for your partner!

This swap is senders choice but it must be an actual doll sent to your partner and not a representation of a doll. The doll can be a teddy bear or animal too just as long as it is a physical doll of some sort.

PLEASE NOTE: This doll must be durable enough to handle being carried around always as a lucky charm in a pocket or purse.

Any questions or suggestions are welcome and please feel free to PM me!

For anyone interested here is a link to the type of doll I mentioned that my Grandmother would carry with her. It was called a Frozen Charlotte Doll and it seems they were baked in cakes and puddings. Of all the people eating the cake or pudding the one person that found the doll was considered to be granted Good Luck for finding the doll.

As long as it is an actual doll everything is welcome. Remember though this swap is about something that is a doll that is durable and that will tolerate being carried around in a pocket for a very long time.

We put these types of dolls in our Kings Cake @ Christmas and Lent. Whoever gets the doll has good luck for the year, is what my bizabuela (great grandma told me). Just thought I would share this happy memory... Aloha.
