Hello everyone! This is for lovers of snail mail!

This is another take of @florenceantonette 's airmail envie swaps. Thanks for the idea!

For this swap we will be sending 2 partners one airmail envelope each.

The envie รขล“โ€ฐ:

รฃฦ’ลธรขหœโ€  Must be an airmail envelope! (Blue & red/pink border usually) No handmade, can be vintage, but unused.

รฃฦ’ลธรขหœโ€  Needs to have at least 3 postage stamps on it. This will be easy for envies going international, for US, you can break down our 46c or add extra postage.

รฃฦ’ลธรขหœโ€  Inside the envie will be a small flat surprise: stickers, postcards, used postage stamps, inspiration, tea, anything!

Rating requirements: Must have at least 3 completed Type 2 swaps. I will be checking so if you don't have these ratings, please don't sign up. Message me about a private swap or get in the next time I host this swap. :)

I don't understand why they need to have 3 stamps on them... that's the last thing I would want on a new envelope in my prized Air Mail envie collection!

Also, are these stamps so that the envelope can then be used for posting? Because an American can't make use of my Australian stamps, etc.

Or are they just as decoration, in which case, are pre-used stamps OK?

OHHHH, I've just realised---we are not sending a BLANK Air Mail envelope inside an outer envelope, we are USING it AS the outer envelope to send the small, flat surprise inside! Is that right? That makes MUCH more sense!!

I don't know if you want to just clarify that because I totally thought the inside contents (the swap) was a blank Air Mail envelope (with an extra li'l swap of a stationery/flat surprise inside that!).... It's probably only because I collect blank Air Mail envelopes, but it's a bit ambiguous to me.

I'm definitely joining now! :)

Btw, to any Aussie joining, remember that if you use regular, non-International Air Mail stamps (the ones with the blue 'international' tab printed on them), then you have to add 10% GST.

Therefore, a $2.60 letter becomes $2.86, therefore $2.90! :D

Clarification: If you DON'T use the ones with the blue 'International' tab printed on them....

Reason being, we need to use at least three stamps. And the denominations of the International ones are so rigid, and either way-low (5c, 10c, 20c) or way-high ($1.70, $2.60, etc).... Although you could do $1.70 + (4 x 20c) + 10c. YEAH!!! ;D

OK, I'm going away now.... :X

The multiple stamps part is because multiple stamps are fun! I send most of my swaps with 4-5 vintage stamps in varied small denominations adding up to normal postage. Watchlisting for no!

Ahh nice swap, wish we had that sort of envelopes here :(

I just re-read this and one suggestion is to send tea as your flat surprise. Please note that if you send tea to AUSTRALIA, the whole letter (not just the tea) might be confiscated by Customs coming into the country. This has happened before. So please, NO TEA to AUSTRALIA. (More info on my profile page.) Thanks. :)

@KatarinaNavane - Yes, multiple stamps are great to send/receive! I just misunderstood it when I read it as I was super-tired at the time. Oops! ;)
