Description:

Let’s swap our way through (not quite all of) the kawaii alphabet. We’ll skip A because I have a few apples, and little else. There are lots of Bs:

  • Bananas
  • spooky Bats
  • Bears
  • Bees
  • Berries
  • Berry Puppy
  • Bunnies = Usagi = Rabbits
  • ...

The Challenge
Pick three from this list (thank you, KSU, for the equivalents), find your Bs (all Bs on each, if you can) and pack ‘em up for your partner. Write a note saying what Bs you're sending, the swap name and your name/username.

  • 20 mini memos
  • 10 4x6 memos
  • 10 sticker flakes
  • 1 letter set (1 envelope & 2 matching sheets)
  • 5 mini envelopes (not handmade)
  • 1 sticker sheet

The Rules
No duplicates in each of your three kinds; repeating characters across your selected three is okay.
Brand name kawaii only - San-X, Kamio, Mind Wave, Crux, Q-Lia, Sanrio Original
Your swap partners expect nice thick paper, clean die cuts, sticky stickers and cuter than cute designs.
No Disney, Diddl, licensed Batzu, Daiso, Morning Glory or Korean items.

Discussion

Just want to ask, say the memo/letterset/envelope has a feature of a lot of animals, which includes a bear but has giraffes, pigs, etc on them. Will that be satisfactory (as long as it features something B) or must the memo/letterset/envelope be full of bears to qualify as fulfilling the requirements? Also, can we count bunnies (nickname) in or will they be considered as rabbits (the correct term in the dictionary) and thus the swap wont meet the requirements?

Great questions - and the answers will apply to future swaps.

  1. All bears or some bears? On the first pass through your collections, look for all Bs and then fill in with some Bs if you need more.

  2. Bunny = Usagi = Rabbit : Names, nicknames and Japanese names are equivalent and fair game for the hunt. I think names of characters won't count, e.g., Hello Kitty is not valid for H.

One answer loosens the requirements and another gives you freedom to choose, as long as your partner understands the connections you've made.

Thanks @manders2280 :)

I edited the swap to include discussion, and realized I wasn't consistent - character names count, as I said in the unedited swap description.

I know this is sender's choice, but I just want to mention that I'd love Badtz-Maru and books (as in kawaii animals shown reading books) if my partner has some :)
