Description:

This is a swap for all you out there who love making books and all

of you who love poetry. I'm giving ample time to complete this

involved swap.

  1. First of all for this swap, you need to construct a book to hold

the poetry you will put into the book. You can make a chunky

book, a paperbag book, an altered book, or a book of your

choice. It will need to be big enough to hold the poetry

requirements. You may bind your book the way you wish.

2.. Secondly, this part of the swap is about the contents of the book---the poetry. The following are the components of the book.

       a. Introduction to Poetry--a small paragraph on poetry--use

an encyclopedia or some other poetry resource to gather

information on poetry. Then write a short paragraph about the

topic of poetry.

       b. Overall Theme of Poetry--(example Children's Poetry)

       c. 5 Themes of Poetry(examples--Favorite poet, Things

that Move, Winged Creatures, Books, Poems)

        d. Five Poems for each Theme(Favorite Poet--5 poems by

Langston Hughes)

       e. Add Embellishments and Illustrations that enhance each

page.

       f. Extras--these are things that can help you get a heart

(example--quotes about poetry)

3.. Put Book and Poetry together.

4.. Do a nice front cover for your partner. On the back of the front cover, put your important information so that your partner will be able to rate you from the information.

5.. This is a time intensive project. I'm providing plenty of time to complete this project. However, I expect quality work and it to be done on time and they're to be NO FLAKERS. If you feel you can't complete this project, please don't sign-up.

GUIDELINES

  1. You must have at least a 4.95.

  2. I expect quality work.

  3. NO FLAKERS allowed.

  4. Poetry Lovers and Bookmakers allowed.

  5. If you feel you can't complete it, please don't sign up.

  6. If you have any questions, please send me an e-mail on Swap-bot.

Thanks so much for extending the 'due date!' Already, I'm having fun thinking about which poems to include. :)

Yes, I'll probably join as well since the send-by date is in January.
