Are you just getting into quilting? An easy project is a Mug Rug. They are an extra large drink coaster that holds a cup of tea or coffee with room for a pastry or treat. Theyâ€™re a great way to use up scraps. This web site; http://tipnut.com/mug-rugs/ has nearly 30 different patterns and tutorials that show you how to make them. So make one at least 6 by 9 inches, in your choice of colours and pattern but out of Christmas fabrics. We all need to slow down when getting ready for the holidays and a cup of cocoa or tea on your Mug Rug will be welcome. You will only have one partner to swap with so it shouldn't be too much work. Please use only good quality quilting fabric in your project. Have fun!
