A little background info: I recently bought 8 books that were printed in 1917 and I'm altering their covers because I want to use them as (art/junk/travel) journals. I have a couple of unaltered ones left and I am dying to use them for a swap like this. So...

Here's what we do:

You take a book that's at least 20 years old (tip: thrift shop, my books were 75 cents each) and you alter the cover. You don't have to put as much time in the back as you do in the front, but make sure they match.

Also, while you don't have to deliver a tailor-made journal, you should take your partner's tastes in account. Don't use colors your swap partner dislikes, or themes your swap partner dislikes. On the flip side, if your swap partner likes My Little Pony, that's very nice but you don't have to make the journal My Little Pony themed. Just walk the middle road.

The book must be a proper book. Hardback, sizes around 13 x 20 cm / 5x8 inch, no less than a 100 pages.

Also, you must include 5 journal-related items. Examples: tags, journal spots, ribbon, stickers, used stamps, fancy paperclips, playing cards, punched flowers, etc. Each item has to be different, so no sets of 5 stickers or things like that.

If you have a preference, leave a comment saying whether you'd like an art/junk/travel journal.

Optional: you may decorate/prepare the pages but it's not mandatory.

You get 1 week to sign up and until the end of November to make your journal, so you have plenty of time.

Ratings: not below 5. Must have successfully completed at least 5 Type 3 swaps. No unrated swappers.
