Description:

It's been awhile since we've done this swap, but it's one of my favorites, and it's often requested. One of the things I like best about Swap-bot is being able to try new things from other places that I would never be able to find where I live. Letรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs share our local wealth by sending edible items made in our city or state. If you are sending internationally to your partner, you may choose to send something made in your country. The idea is to share something with your partner that they cannot purchase where they live.

We will:

  • Send foods made locally.

  • Spend approximately $4.

  • You may send one item or combine multiple items to reach the spending limit.

  • Try to send your partner something that they wouldnรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt normally have access to where they live. Farmer's markets and local shops are a great place to make a purchase for this swap.

  • Include a note telling a bit about the food(s) youรขโ‚ฌโ„ขre sending and about where you live. The note is a required part of the swap!

The usual rules also apply:

  • Send foods in commercially sealed packaging for health and customs reasons. Be sure to check expiration dates before sending.

  • Be courteous by sending our swaps on time and rating our partners when we receive. In the rare circumstance that you must be late, it is expected that you will contact both your partner and the swap host before the mailing deadline.

  • Package your swap appropriately to protect the contents. Zip-top baggies are smart for containing unexpected breaks and leaks. Boxes rather than envelopes should be used for fragile items. We all appreciate the efforts taken to keep our swaps enjoyable!

Although this is a group swap and open to all members in good standing, I do look through each profile before assigning partners and will remove anyone of concern.
