Description:

I haven't seen too much embroidery on Swapbot and I love embroidery.

We will make a small embroidered piece for Valentine's Day. This can be anything related to Valentine's Day: hearts, Cupid, chocolates, heart-shaped cookies/cupcakes, a special Valentine's Day-themed meal, words of love, etc.

The piece should fit into an embroidery frame of the size 3 inches-no bigger and no smaller. The piece should be sent in the 3-inch frame. How you decorate this is up to you.

You can embellish your embroidery fabric with paint, dye, beads, sequins, or just let your embroidery speak for itself.

Please note that you can tailor your piece based off of your partner's likes, but it is not a requirement.

Due to the intensive nature of embroidery, I will need to limit this swap to 4.8 and above with no 1s in the last two months.

Please rate your partner a 5 if you receive their piece according to these instructions and if they do an extra special job or send you a little extra for Valentine's Day, rate accordingly.

This swap is for USA only for those that would prefer not to spend the postage for overseas. I also have the same swap for international participants.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I can't see the photo you mention :(

I don't know why the photo doesn't show up, either. I've tried several times to upload it and it never shows. But the photo was just a picture of a 3 inch wooden embroidery hoop to give an idea of the size.

Please don't be shy and join me. :) I ended up making my embroidery pieces this weekend. It was a lot of fun and that's because you can basically create what you want. As for me, I brushed the dust off the silk ribbon embroidery book and went to work.

could i send it in an actual frame (sans glass; more like a cardboard frame?)

sure, why not? if you like the cardboard frame better and it works with your piece, I say go for it.
