Description:

Fun and easy swap, and newbie friendly!

Create and send five handcrafted envelopes to your partner.

  • Envelopes should be large enough to contain a notecard or postcard. Can also be business sized (approx. 4 1/4" x 9 1/2").
  • Use any paper that will withstand postal machines: patterned card stock, maps, calendar pages, sheet music, etc. Don't use book or magazine pages or other thin, flimsy paper unless you line the inside of the envelope with sturdier paper. We want our partners to be able to use the envelopes without worry.
  • If you use solid paper, please add decorative elements to the envelope(s). Don't just slap on a sticker; unleash your creativity!
  • Envelope design, size, and paper are sender's choice, but it's nice to check your partner's profile to avoid specific dislikes.
  • Make sure the sides are securely adhered together. You do NOT have to apply adhesive to the flap.

If you've never made envelopes, you can just deconstruct an envelope you own and trace around it. Alternately, here are some tutorial links:

  • Communicate with your partner and swap host if there are problems.
