Description:

Deepest thanks to @Lizard for allowing me to use her idea. She's hosting the original Australia region swap.

For this swap you will make a paper doll type teddy bear & at least two outfits. Then you will send your bear, outfit & a letter of introduction to your partner. Introduce your bear and his or her personality!

The teddy bear needs to be packaged in a folder or roomy envelope for travel goodies that will be collected. Somewhere on this folder please have your screen name & mailing address. We want teddy to be able to return home!

When you get your partner's bear take it on some outings & take pictures to remember the fun times! You will need to make the teddy bear at least two outfits to suit your outings - swimsuit for the pool, casual wear for movie night, etc.

Take the bear on at least three adventures while it's visiting you. Go to a local tourist spot, dinner, playing with kids. The possibilities are limitless!

While teddy is visiting you please take at least one photo on each outing (so three photos total) and keep a journal of what you did! The journal must be one page front long. Please make sure the photographs are clear & in focus.

This is our first round. There will be five rounds so all the teddy bears can see a variety of sights & have different adventures. After five rounds there will be a homeward bound round. At that point please send whichever teddy you have home with all photos, outfits, & journal entries.

To keep postage at a minimum please make sure you can fit the teddy & outfits into a flat rate envelope. You can use color copies of the photographs rather than photo paper if you'd like. You can use another envelope if you'd like, but flat rates are an easy way to do this, while having a sturdy envelope.

The teddy bear needs to be able to go the distance, so you might want to use cardstock, or cover it with contact paper.

Here is a pattern of a teddy and a selection of outfits that @Lizard found. You don't have to use this one, it might be starting point for your creativity. Please copy and paste http://www.colorcutandcreate.com/printables/pd_teddybear.pdf

To recap: This round - - Make one teddy bear paper doll - Make two outfits for teddy - Write one intro letter about your teddy - Folder to hold teddy & belongings

Future rounds - - Make two outfits for teddy - Three pictures of Teddy's adventure with you - One page journal entry about adventures

Because this is a very involved swap, rating of 4.95 or higher with no unexplained low ratings please. Newbies welcome with extremely well filled out profile. At swap close I will check profiles & remove swappers as needed.

If you can't commit to the time required and the various elements of this swap, please don't join. I want everyone's bear to have a great time & make it home.

This swap is meant to be fun, please recognize everyone has different talents & comfort levels. No complaints about someone's photographs, outfits, please.

Feel free to message me with questions, comments, etc.

Please invite friends, members in your various groups, etc to join. If you know members in Australia please send them over to @Lizard swap!

You have done a great job organising this swap! Thank you so much for crediting me with the idea.

One lady in my swap is going to let her granddaughter choose the sex and name of the teddy and keep it afterward.

Let's hope our teddies all have lovely holidays! Γ’β„’Β₯

I love love love this idea! Please do again later. I signed up about 3 days ago and want to get my feet wet before I take on a big project. I don't want to disappoint anyone.
