Description:

Chunky book swap- INTERNATIONAL

This will be an ongoing swap!!! Starting from July till December. Each month different theme! 1st swap theme- BABIES

PLEASE read THOROUGHLY before signing up!

Each month that you choose to participate, you will send 5 4X4 originals ,to two different partners ( 10 pages total). You will receive 10 pages total by others in return.

Please send in a padded mailer- that will keep you art safe! It would be helpful, but not required, if you would enclose your pages in a ziploc sandwich baggie.

You do not have to participate in the swap every month! Sign in every month, or every other month, or only when you feel like it. This is a guilt-free swap! If you play each month, swapping 10 for 10, at the end of the swap you will have 60 original chunky book pages, which can be bound into a nice fat little book.

We will be swapping ORIGINAL work, no copied pages please. Your pages may be as similar or different as you like and may contain copied elements but should be one of a kind. All media is welcome, provided that you add some sort of hand embellishment to each page. Ideas for embellishment: eyelets, brads, fibers, lace, ribbon, page pebbles, charms, beads, buttons, tags, little envelopes with messages inside, little trinkets or toys, glitter, puff paint, and anything else you can think of! The embellishments are what makes these books chunky, so have fun with it! Note: PLEASE leave a 1 1/2" margin free of thick or dimensional embellishment on the LEFT side of the page, so the pages will fit into a punch to receive holes for binding. A margin of 1/4 inch is required for the actual binding holes, so no embellishment at all AND NOTHING STICKY like glue or mounting tape. Your art can extend into this area, but nothing that will interfere with the pages being punched.

PLEASE use sturdy paper! Heavy cardstock, watercolor paper, acrylic paper, chipboard -- something that will support your art and hold up well over time. Also, it is best to avoid using glue sticks as the adhesive breaks down over time. PLEASE do not send sticky pages! If your pages are sticky, use a sealant on them before sending. I don't want to see your art or anyone else's ruined because of icky stickiness!

PLEASE do not leave your page backs blank! You don't have to do art on both sides, but please do add a bit of color (paint, a doodle, a stamped image, a bit of scrapbook paper, etc.) along with your name & any contact info that you want to provide. And finally PLEASE SEND ONLY WORK THAT YOU'D BE HAPPY TO RECEIVE!

EDITED TO ADD: the common method for binding these books is to have them punched and use a plastic comb or spiral coil.

This swap is open for 4.8 rating and up with at list one heart! No no-sends in the past !!! Newbies welcome with a completed profile. I surely be checking all the profiles to make sure all of you get a high quality pages.
