While this face ATC swap is primarily for anyone new (or relatively new) to making ATCs, all NH members in good standing are welcome to join. Please be kind in rating. (";)

No artistic skills are required - just do your best and have fun!

The one universal rule for ATCs is that they MUST measure 2.5" x 3.5" (6.25 cm x 8.75 cm), but I have a few more rules for this swap:

  • Must be fairly flat (no super chunky embellishments)
  • Nothing can extend beyond the borders
  • No purchased stickers, die cuts or punchies (if you make your own, that is fine)
  • Must be on a sturdy backing (I usually glue my work onto a thin cardboard backing)
  • Other than the above, you may use any material and any technique you like (draw, paint, collage, stamp, sew, etc.).

Don't forget to include on the back of the ATC:

  • Title
  • Your real name
  • Your email
  • Date
  • Signature

Don't forget to also include this info with your swap so your partner can rate you:

  • Your SB moniker
  • Name of swap

NOTE: The face may be the focal point of your ATC or not, as long as there is a face somewhere on the ATC. It does not necessarily have to be a human face.

You MUST have a reasonably filled profile to be in this swap. There is a sticky thread in the Newbie Helpers group if you don't know what to include on your profile. You must at least have a list of some of your likes and interests AND your colour and them/style preferences (or a statement that you are open to any colour and style).

The Tough Stuff

  • Failure to read and follow ALL of the above requirements could result in either being dropped from the swap OR in being rated a 3 by your partner.
  • Anyone who has not completed their profile properly will be dropped without notice.

If you have any questions, please post below AND pm me to let me know there is a question here, as I don't check my swaps every day. Thx.

Have fun!

Here's what the swap-bot glossary says.

Swap and Craft Term Glossary

Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized Ò€œswapÒ€ events or through the mail, in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5Ò€³ x 3.5Ò€³. As a general rule, swaps are open to any media, materials or techniques as long as the card fits into a standard trading card sleeve. ATCs are traded, not sold. You may find that individual swaps on Swap Bot have rules as to how the ATC should be created for that particular swap. Each one is different, so make sure you read the swap description carefully before signing up.

I found that glossary really helpful when I first joined Swap-Bot. You can find it by clicking the Help link at the top right hand corner of this page.

@PrincessChick has not rated her partner yet (she should have received the swap well before now) and has not replied to her pm asking about it. I left a comment on her profile and emailed her about it.

I also pmd her receiving partner re swap status.

Her receiving partner has asked for a re-send (wrong size), but has not heard back from her. I will angel.
