Paper Napkin Swap

I use lots of napkins in doing collage/altered art stuff. I especially love fish, seashore, and nature themes. This sounds like fun!

Hi. I am signing for my mom. She collects paper napkins and she is into this glass artwork using decorative napkins. My mom is excited for this SWAP and i hope for the next one i will be able to show her how to sign in herself :)

Note to swappers, potential signups: If you don't have any decorative type napkins don't forget to check your local dollar stores, greeting card shops, party decor stores and overstock type discounters (like Big Lots, Ross, etc) you can often find good deals in their markdown or discontinued sections ... My Supertarget usually has the coolest paper napkins on clearance over by the partywares, with a 20ct pack going for as cheap as .16 cents! So be sure to dig around town, you might be surprized at what you can find (and the hunt is often the "funnest" part!)

I'm using tons of napkins for my craft projects - especially I love the flower ones: roses, hydrangeas, lavender and very classical patterns but I will enjoy anything :-) This is a great opportunity to exchange a bit my stash.

That's today (1/31) but I'm not sure how Swap-Bot works the time frame with that ... You should get an email message from S-bot saying you can now get your partners for the swap, as well as when you sign in there will be a link to see your partners in the swap info box :) Be sure to check your partners profile or the messages here for their likes/favorites,etc if you want to make your swap packet personalized - this is always NICE but not a requirement! so don't fret if you don't have anything that matches or if your partner doesn't have a profile. (Though I would highly recommend that if ya don't have one - git one!)

I am swaping for my mom. she uses for her craft mostly flower patterns angels and romantic stuff. i like artistic ones - my mom got this klimpt napkins which i adore. we like less animal patterns and kids stuff unless it is vintage style. good luck with this swap to everybody!

Today's the deadline for mailing out your napkins to your partner - the list only shows one player who hasn't yet sent (or at least marked as sent) so I'm pretty pleased that everyone did such a great job getting their swaps out early! It makes your host look good to have everything sent & sent out on time (even if she didn't really have anything to do with it, hehe) so I appreciate that and I thank you :)

Dianne, i have recieved the napkins, they are lovely!!! and a lot - 8 napkins!! my mom will be deighted.

Mayki - i just couldn't decide among what i had and they were so light, and some were cocktail rather than full size, so i figured a few extra couldn't hurt!

Got lovely napkin packets today from: Angel Faery Kathleen ~ beauuuutiful! the varied prints and colors are wonderful - my fave is the "seashells" one :) and also from Lighthouse ~ My word, so many - you were more than generous! They're all great but I think you know my two favorites - "animal print" and that adorable easter chicks one :)

Quick Update / Note ... For any players still waiting on a third swap packet to arrive - just hang on a little longer!, I rec\'d notice from our swapper that they were mailed out this week - she\'d been down with an illness and is getting things caught up now.

Also a reminder note to all players (for ANY swap) - please don\'t mark your swaps as sent until they have actually mailed - it\'s better to be late & communicate, than to have your swappee thinking their swap is on it\'s way when it isn\'t.

I have just joined up and would love to join this swap. Its still 31/1/2010 where I am. I have far too many beautiful scenes. lots of flowers and beach sea scenes. Also Klimt, and animal and some music theme ones. What happens know and how do I know If I am in the swap and who my swap patners are???
