Description:

The February 2015 Fandom in a Bag swap is Classic Nintendo.

Step 1: Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, games or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 7 different types of items although more is certainly encouraged (PLEASE try to make it look full). Different types of items means 5 ATCs, 3 pins, 2 postcards would be 10 items but only 3 different types. The swap requirement is for 7 different types in a bag.

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, legal music CDs, charms, ornaments, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fainfic, zines, etc.

More specific ideas: gold/chocolate coins, rules learned from video games, gamer assists/buddies/snacks, repurposed video game cartridges, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 gallon (measures about 10 inches by 11 inches or 28cm by 26.5 cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a gallon in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of February and please send by the deadline (February 28).

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be run right off the go cart racetrack.

Favorite games: Super Mario Brothers (original), Super Mario Brothers 3, Legend of Zelda, Marble Madness, Blaster Master, Dr. Mario, Tetris.

I only ever had the original NES, so that's the controller & console I like best (never had a game boy or super NES or anything like that). I love everything shaped/designed like the original rectangular controller. I used to watch the old Super Mario Brothers tv show. I watched the online Mario Marathon stream for charity every year and donate (a donation on my behalf to Child's Play charity would be a great thing for me to get as part of this bag, if you're so inclined!).

I love Mario as a fox with his ears & tail, I like Luigi, Peace, Toad, and Link. I LOVE Tetris. Would love anything related to the above games like little question mark block boxes or Tetris pieces. Message me if you have any questions!

I don't know if I'll be joining this swap, but I have some of the most perfect plushie patters from Deadly Sweet Plush on Etsy. The Tanooki Mario and Frog Mario. I'm itching to make them, too. :/ Kate, quit hosting tempting swaps! lol

@kiddo47 LOL I'm not brilliant at making stuffies, but if you wanted to do a private swap with me for something in return, I'd be up for it!

I love all things Zelda and Mario related! I've always loved Mario Party in particular. My favorite Mario characters are Princess Peach, Boo, and Blooper. If we can do N64 as well (instead of SNES games) I am also a HUGE Harvest Moon fan. I mean HUUUGE. It is probably my favorite game of all time. If we can go a liiiiitle past N64 era, I also love Fire Emblem. All of the games in the series are awesome, but Path of Radiance is probably my favorite. The laguz are great, especially all the "cat" family laguz. I also love Pokemon! Vulpix and Piplup are my favorites, along with Pikachu (of course, haha). Pokemon Snap is an awesome game!

Animal Crossing is also one of my favorite things! I love all the animal characters. (: Bam from Animal Crossing: New Leaf was my favorite villager but he moved away. :C

I have a 3DS and a Wii (and a n64, gamecube, ds, game boy color, and game boy advance sp). So any sort of little decorations I can add to my 3DS are awesome. :D

Some ideas would be stickers, magnets, phone charms, little knick knacks, paper goods, postcards, etc. I like buttons all right, I just don't have anything to put them on really. If you spot something super awesome I'll find a good home for it, otherwise buttons are really the only thing I wouldn't use as much as basically anything else, haha. :P
