One partner/one mug rug that is sender's choice. For those of us who enjoy fabric arts, this is a perfect forum to create a halloween mug rug. A mug rug is larger than a coaster and smaller than a placemat. It is to be the size where you can rest a mug, cup or glass and have room for a treat like cookies or a half sandwich or piece of fruit. I've made them to finish at 10x6, or a 7" square, and 8" round, and other sizes and shapes in between. It is finished on the edges with either binding or having been turned to close the seams. A mug rug is usually two pieces of 100% cotton sandwiched with batting in the middle. It is quilted either by machine or by hand to hold the sandwich together. To make this mug rug, you can either use halloween fabric or make it in a halloween shape such as a jack-o-lantern. There are a number of free tutorials online.
