Description: | |
For this swap you will create one ATC for your partner featuring your favorite organism (bacteria, archaea, eukaryote [algae, plants, invertabrates, and vertabrates], virus if you make a convincing argument that they are alive). For this swap you need to have an image of the organism you chose and information about that organism somewhere on the card. For the information please include the Phylum, Scientific name (genus and species), and common name (if there is one), and one or two interesting facts about the organism. I am loosely baseing this idea on trading cards such as pokemon or magic the gathering. These cards can be any medium you like, including created in an image editing program and printed out. The writing must be legible, and the image must be either a photo of the organism or a naturalist quality drawing done by you (a naturalist drawing ripped from the web is not ok). The image at the top is a good example, but by no means a required template. The level of decoration is up to you, the focus of this swap should be sharing cool organisms and information about them. If this swap goes well I would like to do a full series going through at least animals by phyla (caveat I will not be doing birds, if someone else would like to host one for birds that is fine by me). |
