I was wondering when we will be assigned our partner. Thanks!

The site will send you a message with your partner's address on the last day to sign up or drop. In this case, June 5th.

Great! Thanks Stefanie. I'm new to Swap-Bot, so I wasn't sure. I want to get to know my swap partner & find out what she's interested in before purchasing/making stuff.

user1387 05/15/2006 #

Are the colors black and white? I thought that was last months colors and I 'thought' that I read the colors were going to be blue and brown? Help!

funkyfinds 06/ 9/2006 #

Are you around Identity Seven? I emailed ya!

funkyfinds 06/15/2006 #

have ya'll heard from your partner? i haven't yet. :(

user784 06/15/2006 #

punkinpieproductions: this is the US and Canada swap, different from the regular all over the world one. The colors aren't the same.

jbhood: there isn't a set rule that you have to contact your partner. It's kinda supposed to be a surprise. But I have had problems with trouble swappers, so it might not be a bad idea.

funkyfinds 06/15/2006 #

Thanks for posting Stefanie. This is my first swap thru SwapBot so I wasn't sure if not hearing was cause for panic. Guess I'll just do my best to get a package together without more info!

groovyholly 07/ 4/2006 #

I got a great package today from Florida, thanks so much Jen. I love my package.

user1645 07/ 6/2006 #

Is there a way to ensure that everyone is flickr member? I really think it would make this group a whole lot more fun!

textdrivebys 07/ 7/2006 #

user784 07/11/2006 #

I hate to have to say this, but after this swap, I will not be organizing any more swaps. There are too many people dissappointed with the way I have chosen to run swaps (but have not taken the time to organze thier own). Too many people mad at me for not making their partner cooperate when I have no way of knowing who their partner even is. Too many people not being responsible enough to send a package when someone is workng so hard and putting so much thought into theirs. I have been in five swaps ad only recieved two packages. Then if you ban people for bad ratings, they send you nasty emails and tell you what a horrible person you are. I am over it. The benefits are not worth the struggles.

user1460 07/12/2006 #

Stefanie- You should not feel responsible for some peoples' lack of grace or ability to follow through. While I am disappointed in the outcome of this swap (I sent my package in June and have heard nothing back from the person I sent it to and have received nothing and it looks like I won't as the person is still marked Not Sent) I know that this is not your fault at all.

For the people who sent out thoughful, fun and creative packages: Kudos to you! For the rest of you: Don't participate if you just aren't capable of taking care of your commitments.

Hi Xenia so glad you can feel the love girl-you are my first swap and as you know I am packing and in the middle of a move but also a major lifestyle change but collecting goodies for your package was a fun spot in all the chaos! It's always good to do something for someone else to get you out of yourself! From my heart-Enjoy and hope you have the best vacation that renews your spirit!

user1583 07/12/2006 #

Hi Stephanie Sorry to hear you won't be organizing any more swaps. This was my first and it was fun doing something for someone else in the middle of tons of chaos in my life-moving, lifestyle changes etc. I thought it was fun. Try to focus on the good and let go of the bad-remember the words to that song-"you can't please everyone so you've got to please yourself". Crap always seems to follow when people get selfish and it seems like this was meant to be about sharing and giving-sometimes not everyone is on the same "ride" but be at peace with your good intentions-it started something good and helped create more good. Those ripples in the water matter. Take care-Gail W

Hi I sent mine to Gina, but have yet to hear if she has received it or not. How do you even know who gets your name? Thanks Tammie www.myartsoulwings.typepad.com

user1314 07/13/2006 #

Yes, it is sad when you don't get anything back, but you probably get things in a different way for being a good person and being true to your word. The person who doesn't follow through and send something is the person we should really be feeling sorry for. What kind of self-worth does that person have? How can they possibly open a nice gift from someone else, and yet not send to the person they were suppossed to? Karma is real, at least in my life, and that's the way I look at it. Also, I think it's really funny when people who don't send anything have a big long into in their bio "ME-ME-ME-ME!!!!" pretty pathetic. Maybe the real swappers should forget swap-bot and just find eachother on flickr and do personal swaps. There is more accountability because you're actually emailing with the person.

user1502 07/15/2006 #

Hi I did receive my swap from Chantal! Thanks I loved the scarf you made and all the fun gifts and I too am sorry Stephanie that people aren't decent enough to send their end of the swap! I also don't even know how one knows who they have!!?? There was no note in my box only the return address had a name! so would have thanked that person personally but have no idea how to do that????? is there a way to find out since alot I see use different names and not their own!!?? anyway sorry Stephanie! but thanks I enjoyed it!

digitalmaven 07/19/2006 #

"Too many people mad at me for not making their partner cooperate when I have no way of knowing who their partner even is."

Actually, that's not true. As organizer, you get to see everyone's partner, via the "list of participants" page. It's not organized in the best way, but you do get access to that information. Should there be any problems, you do have the ability to find the person in question and contact them directly.

I received a wonderful package with thoughtful goodies from Anne and am enjoying some wonderful natural vanilla soap while eating licorice-ahh! this is the life!! Thanks Anne!!

I'm away from my regular computer, and can't get on aol to email, however I just wanted Courtney to know that the package that I sent her (many moons ago), was returned to me. I have been out of town for 2.5 weeks, so it was sent back sometime during that time. I had numerous packages to send out, and was doing these all at the same time. I made a mistake on the package. I'm very sorry for this, and for your aggravated wait. I'm resending by Friday, and will include extras for my mistake.
