Description:

I was looking online and found something posted by the following person , who I guess is also a member of swap-bot or used it in the past. Posted by kuri at July 13, 2007

I loved the idea and thought I would go ahead and set up a swap of my own because Handmade envelopes look so much fun. They are easy and fun and I like these especially because they are pretty and practical, too.

To make your own envelope:

Take an envelope you like, carefully rip it apart at the seams (or Google for “envelope template” for some that you can print out) Use the old envelope as a template on some fresh paper optional: Trace around the template Cut out the envelope shape following the template or tracing Fold up the new envelope Glue the side and bottom flaps together Decorate as desired

or for those that have computer art programs making envelopes on the computer is also accepted.

It really couldn’t be easier and you end up with fun envelopes from your own stash of papers. It’s not too late to join the Handmade Envelope swap if you want to give yourself an excuse to try making some.

We will have 1 partner and will make 3 envelopes for our partner. Please do not include any addresses leave blank. That way your partner can either keep them or use them to send a letter to someone if they wish.

Any questions leave a comment. Newbies welcome and this swap is international.
