Just curious why people host swaps that are USA and Canada? It costs just as much to mail to Canada as it does to mail elsewhere in the world, so why not just make it international? Just wondering. :)

Great question, @SherriB

Many of our Canadian members like these regional swaps (USA & Canada Only) because via the post office, you can ship a letter between Canada/USA up to 2 ounces for the first class mail price of $1.20. Internationally, if you go over 1 ounce, the price jumps substantially from $1.20 to $2.21 for the same 2 ounces. Because many of us like to send little extras, we often go over the 1 ounce and this type of swap still keeps the postage reasonable.

Hope that answers your question.

:-)
