Description:

I thoroughly enjoy learning about my fellow swappers on this site. Everyone has so many interesting things about them! So this is a swap specifically for learning about others.

Here's the idea: you will send one postcard (store bought or handmade) to two partners, on which you will write as many interesting things about you as you can reasonably fit. Last time this swap was USA Only, but this time I'll make it International and see how well-liked it is.

If you're stuck for inspiration, things which you might consider shaing are:

  • The meaning or history of your name (either first, middle or last)
  • Something that you've overcome in your life -A description of something, someone or a place which is significant to you
  • A recurring dream that you have
  • A recent craft project that you've completed or are inspired to try
  • An interesting news story that you've read, and your thoughts on it
  • A favourite quote (with a short note about why you like it) *A cause that you are passionate about, or a way in which you give back
  • A description or quote from the best book that you've read lately (don't forget to include the title/ author!)
  • A tradition that is meaningful to you
  • Your greatest wish
  • A trip that you've taken or dream about taking
  • As a little kid, what you wanted to be when you grew up

Please do feel free to use your imagination! There is no limit to what you can share, as long as it is about yourself (although it may be a good idea to read your partners' profiles, just in case they have some serious triggers that you'll want to avoid).

You should also check your partners' profiles to see how they prefer to receive postcards! Touristy, non-touristy, handmade, store-bought, it doesn't matter what card you send, but again, please check your partners' profiles to see if they enjoy a specific kind of card.

I will be checking participants profiles and ratings thoroughly before assigning partners. Newbies will be welcome so long as they have a well-filled-out profile. Any recent 1s or 3s will be examined, and if I feel you might flake on my swaps, you will not be allowed to participate. If you DO join, and you DO flake, I will certainly angel the swap, though I hope that doesn't happen.
