Description:

I've always loved the color palette pictures on Pinterest, and today I stumbled on a site that will grab the color palette of any picture for you. Which got me thinking- what a great idea for a zine!

For this swap you will: ... Take 6-8 pictures (must be original photography, make sure it's appropriate - otherwise, sender's choice) ... Run each picture through an online color palette generator (the one I found is http://www.colorcodepicker.com/ , but there seem to be a ton out there) ... Arrange it so that there is one image-color palette composition per page ... Print or make copies of the zine for each of your 3 partners.

If you need inspiration, just put in color palette in Pinterest - there's tons of stuff on there. This swap will require a bit of tech savvy, so please be aware of that when signing up.

Minimum 4.98, no recent 1s or 3s.

FAQ:

What is a zine?

A zine is a piece of paper that has been folded into a little booklet.Typically, you make one then photocopy it, sending the copies to your partners.

Step by step directions here:an example

How do I assemble a color palette image?

If you're not comfortable with Publisher or more complicated programs, you should be able to do it with Paint. Create an image the size of a magazine page (probably around 2.5" x 4"), paste the image in and crop it to size, and then draw boxes, filling them with the appropriate colors using the RGB (Red-Green-Blue) code. Repeat until you have all the images and assemble your zine.

A low tech option would be to print the pictures (make them as close to the same size as possible) and print the associated colors and assemble them in the zine.

I love the idea for this swap. I'd be all over this if I hadn't already burnt through a ton of coloured ink recently...

Oh man! Thank you for the interest though! Maybe I'll do another round of this at some point :)
