Postcards of Positivity #1 *USA*

Hello!

I am a chemotherapy patient at Univ. PA hospital and at the same time I am a chemo coach. What's that? Basically I have a few people with whom I connect several times a week to see how they are doing with their chemo treatments and overall journey with cancer. I have been battling ovarian cancer since 2013 and I have learned that my calling is to help people who are on the same journey I am on. The infusion centre I am treated at has women and men battling all different types of cancer and at many different stages of their journey. Some people have made and donated hats, mittens, blankets and even candy jars to the patients here but since I am a postcard swapper I love the smile that receiving a postcard gives me. If we write a few lines of encouragement, it will be received with appreciation and a smile. I want to give people the knowledge that they are NOT alone and someone out there is thinking of them and encouraging them on their journey. The postcard will be something they can keep and look at when they need a pick me up.

With that said... it's a really simple swap! Just 2 postcards! - Storebought, Zazzle, Hand Made - all fair game - BUT PLEASE Check your partner's profile.

You will be sending your partner one naked/written/stamped postcard with a little blurb about how a simple word of encouragement has touched you. Don't forget your swap-bot ID and the swap name.

You will be sending me one postcard on which you simply write a quote of encouragement or a few uplifting lines of your own! Please refrain from anything religious as my infusion centre has people of ALL religions and the last thing I want to do is upset/offend anyone. This postcard will be mailed to me in an envelope - please don't write the swap name on the postcard, the person to whom I will hand deliver it will not understand what that means. Please just put the swap name on the envelope. Toss on a stamp and pop it in the mail to me!

That's it! Easy! One postcard to your partner and one to me to hand out in the infusion centre! I will host this swap once a month because I have my infusions every three weeks and that generally works out to visiting the chemo centre once a month.
