TSJ: Curious Kitchen Contraption I went to the thrift store to see if I could find any ideas for a swap and I found a funny looking gizmo in the kitchen department. So this swap is to find your partner some kind of old or unusual kitchen, cooking or food serving item. Find your things at the thrift store, second hand store, antique mall or garage sale. The swap photo has examples of old utensils. I like the funny looking whisk and the egg cooker with sand timer is great! It does not have to be a utensil it could be dishes or anything used to serve food or work with in the kitchen. You will know that curious contraption when you see it. Penguin ice cube mold or cookie cutter rolling pin. If you look at the item and wonder what it is, it's a good clue that it is a curious contraption. You only have to send 1 item. Please make sure your gizmo or doodad is useable for its original intent. I would use a mechanical egg beater but not a rusty one. This is for vintage or old fashioned things you wont find in a modern store. This swap is not a flat swap like paper it must be something 3D. In other words donΓ’β¬β’t just send a cookbook. I am going to exclude two things, potato mashers and things made from paper like books or napkins. Restaurant cooks use mashers currently so they are not quirky enough. IΓ’β¬β’ll make a swap later on for cook books. IΓ’β¬β’m not going to set any dollar value for the swap because prices can vary too much. IΓ’β¬β’m not going to try to make suggestions since anything found in the kitchen or dining department would be acceptable AS long as its unusual or uncommon nowadays. Remember to include the swap title and your name in your package. Please rate promptly after receiving and if you end up running late please contact your prior to being late. |
