Hope everyone has fun with lunch and PuchiKawaii! - jenii

Though distinct changes in policy have been made, the swap is essentially the same as it always was. I will be screening everyone and reserve the right to ban anyone for reasons deemed fit. I'm aiming for NO FLAKING!

TO PARTICIPATE, please make sure that you have: 4.5+, very very few no-sends and a filled profile.

Small & Cute! (Japanese >> Puchi: Small, Kawaii: Cute)

Simple Rules

  • Please make sure you include kawaii content! *Please be sure that it is cute in the JAPANESE sense, meaning: please try to stray from Diddl, Disney (unless Japanese version) & etc. unless indicated by your partner's likes.
  • Please make sure to check your partner's profile for his/her likes and dislikes!
  • International: please be understanding that some PO's are not as great as others and things ARE lost in the mail.
  • Do not send anything you would not like to receive.

The Minimum

  • 20 flake stickers
  • 10 mini memo sheets
  • 1 bento-inspired filled box

Theme: O-bento! Put together a bento-inspired box for your partner! You do NOT need to include actual bento accessories or food. Things like food-shaped accessories, origami, candies, food-inspired goodies, etc. would be great. Please assemble a "bento" that you'd like to receive yourself! Also, check your partner's profiles for their preferences.

*PLEASE use a LARGE matchbox or the pattern for the box below! You can make your "bento" whatever size you need but please be sure to package it for mailing ACCORDINGLY!!

I really wanna do this too but the send-by date is a little too soon for me.... Wahh what will i do. >_<

iamjenii 11/10/2008 #

Dates have been PUSHED FORWARD. I was not sure how long to set the dates but hopefully this'll give everyone a chance to decided whether they can participate or not :D

dreamrains 11/10/2008 #

oh wow, thanks for moving the dates that's perfect!

Curious, but how does everyone feel about the box being changed or expanded to being a LARGE matchbox? A sturdier medium I'd say. I'd like to leave this as an option if anyone would prefer this method as opposed the the origami box. Thoughts?

This seems like a lot of fun! But since I haven't done any big package swaps, I'm not exactly sure how to send this. Anyways, I would love to join this! :D

I'll figure out a way to send this, haha (with it getting crushed).

yienn 11/13/2008 #

*without it

iamjenii 11/13/2008 #

A small box would be fine (like a cookie box or something like that?). If you wrap a bit of paper around it and bound it with some plastic tape it should be sturdy enough to endure transit :D

Silencio 11/13/2008 #

Sounds like a great swap, but I am not sure how big the box should be? like in the pattern - 9cm (W) x 4.5cm (H)? also should we fill it up with:

The Minimum

20 flake stickers 10 mini memo sheets ?

Or is that just to show the 'cost'.

eiko 11/13/2008 #

adorable swap, but just too much on for me at the moment to really put time into this.. i hope it runs again ^-^

iamjenii 11/13/2008 #

@ Silencio: a LARGE matchbox or something approximately the same size should suffice. The minimum is in addition to whatever you fill the box. By tradition, PuchiKawaii swaps have been in the format of "20 flakes + 10 mini memos + 1 surprise". The surprise portion has been changed and varied through the various swaps for fun :D So for this swap you will need to send your partner 20 flakes + 10 mini memos + 1 filled box. You can put the 20 flakes + 10 memos in the box or not, it's up to you.

@ eiko: Perfectly fine! :D I'm probably going to run these swaps again in the future if everyone has fun with them :Dy So hope you see you in the upcoming ones, ne? Good luck with your current swaps ^_^y

I couldn't resist this one, it's not too big to take up a lot of time, so it's perfect, sounds fun!

iamjenii 12/ 1/2008 #

I hope no one minds if I extend this swap a few extra days since it's quite labor intensive (and I've suddenly come into a LOT of out-of-home activity concern residencies in another state @_ ). Sorry for the greedy extension!

dreamrains 12/ 2/2008 #

I am all in favor of the extension lol... today is my first day off since thanksgiving.
