Description:

I LOVE rocks! Whenever I travel, I go looking for rocks - in the rivers, oceans and alongside the roads! I grew up in Nebraska, and my mom always said that there are no native rocks there - I think she was talking about quarries, because Nebraska DOES have gravel. Anyway, now I usually pick up the smaller rocks, just because the big ones are hard to transport, especially if I fly.

If you like rocks as much as I do, find a rock - a nice one that looks interesting, and send it to your partner. It doesn't have to be big, but it has to be bigger than your thumbnail. Please wash it if it is muddy or dirty. You might want to send it in a little padded envelope so the envelope won't get all ripped apart.

Please enclose a note telling where this rock is from and how you found it.

I hope you will be happy with the rock you get; it's entirely sender's choice!

Have you done the rock hunting yet? People paint a rock and place it out in public for others to search for. It's a lot of fun!

My son will love this. He's always looking for rocks. We've been looking for ones that look like states.
