Description:

This swap keeps the Christmas spirit with us all year by sending each other holiday postcards every month; If we get enough participants, we will send one card each to two (2) partners. This is a swap for Christmas postcards that need to be store-bought or VERY NICELY handmade. The cards are sender's choice.

I hand-make some of my cards by recycling the fronts of the beautiful cards I receive each Christmas. It is still an easy swap and saves a bit of cash for me and gets me into the “reduce, re-use, recycle” plan to help save a little bit of our environment. So, NICELY DONE handmade cards of that sort are OK, and are sent stamped and with a written note. (i.e. naked)

If there are things you don't want to receive such as religious cards, please mention it in the comments below and/or as part of your profile. Also, when you prefer written/unwritten in an envelope, mention it in the comments below. If you have a handmade postcard that cannot be sent naked, contact your partners first, and ask if they agree with an envelope. If not, you'll need to keep that for another swap and stay with guidelines outlines above.

IF ANYONE RECEIVES A HANDMADE card that is not up to high standards described above, contact ME first so we can decide what to do. This also applies if you receive a shabby, ragged, old postcard. I love those and collect them, but this group is NOT for flea market, shabby, vintage cards. We are using brand new or very nicely handmade cards for these swaps. That does include new postcards that are done in vintage style. I use those often---but they are purchased new.

IF YOU HAVE AN UNEXPECTED PROBLEM (a good example is my broken hip on Dec. 13, 2016) and know your swap or swaps will be late, contact your partner AND me so we can all three keep things going smoothly and avoid drama and hurt feelings. The swapping spirit is one of sending each other the nicest possible things to our crafting partners and working together to resolve problems that do sometimes come up---entirely unexpectedly! I assure you that I DID NOT PLAN to fall on those last two steps at a friend's home and break my hip on Dec.13, 2016! I want these swaps to be fun and in keeping with the spirit of Christmas.

This swap is only for postcards. So, no greeting/note cards, please :-). Most importantly, have FUN! That's what swapping is all about!

I will have to make all of mine - they will be nice, but if that doesn't work for my partner, please let me know. I don't have any actual Christmas Postcards, but can make them via stamping and up-cycling.

I will also have to make mine reason I don't have a lot of money Sheryl-Kay

Don't worry, ladies! just do your best and neatest work and I'm sure all will be fine. This is meant to be an easy and inexpensive swap. Thanks for joining the swaps---or if you haven't, please do and give us a try for some Christmas fun even when we are sweltering in triple digit temps.

Besides, I often make my own as well, using the fronts of beautiful holiday cards I've received over the years. I enjoy it and they are very quickly done even when taking great care to make it as nearly perfect as humanly possibly. I am just happy to see everyone who joined this swap; we have 6, yes, 6, swapping this time--I think that is a record! Let's in August! YAY!
