Description:

100 miles! Phew. This is gonna be a hot month. Drink plenty of water and watch your electrolytes. Do what is manageable and be smart. If 100 miles is not a smart goal for you, share a smarter goal with your partner or in the comments below.

For the month of July move 100 intentional miles (an average of 3.3 each day). Take a walk. Go for a quick run or light jog. Bike. Swim! Row! Elliptical. Hike. Rock Climb. Whatever floats your boat and moves your body!
The goal is to get moving every day, but if you can't--that's okay. Just do your best towards 100 miles for the month.

Log each day (or mile)'s progress.

Around the middle of the month (July 13-17th), send a Swap-Bot message to your partner letting them know how far you've come. This is meant to provide mid-month accountability and allow you to course correct as needed. This is part of the swap requirements.

At the end of the month, send your partner your tracking log and at least a few sentences about the swap experience. Also include a flat surprise such as a postcard, notecard, tea, etc. Check your partner's profile for ideas and avoid allergies, but this is sender's choice.

In sum:
1). Get movin'! About 3.3 miles each day.
2). Track your progress.
3). Send a mid-month check-in of your mileage to your partner via SB message.
4). Mail your log, reflections, and flat surprise at the end of the month.

Stay hydrated!

Hope we all enjoy this and come back next month! Let me know if you have any questions.

Looking Ahead
In August, we'll try something a little different--30 minutes a day.

I won't set a goal just yet, I'm going to wait and see how I go in June :)

I got 100 for May, too, but will struggle with 75 for June. :D Because it is summer holidays and we drive to visit relatives and friends farther away, and then I of course am visiting not walking around. At least I don't count in walking around the house or garden - I don't think it's an "intentional mile"? I do count walking or biking to shop, but if I drive to mall and spend three hours walking around, it will still be at zero miles. Do I do it correctly?

@pahasiga For me an intentional mile is as you've described, deliberately going for a walk--that is the primary activity. If you are going to the mall to shop, that is the primary activity, walking the secondary. But if it is inclement weather and the mall is a space to walk in, that seems a primary, intentional activity. :) However, I'm not out to micromanage anyone's goals! If walking around the mall for 3 hours while shopping gets you out of the house and moving, then that could be intentional. You've surely walked a few miles during that time. I would advise you to count what feels right to you, as well as continue to challenge yourself.
