QC: Quilted Potholder - Spring

For this swap you will have one partner and you will make one quilted Spring themed potholder to swap. Use soft colors or pastels, cute animal or floral prints. Make it pretty and happy.

I have two rules, otherwise I'm going to leave exact interpretation open to the maker, there are a number of ideas and tutorials available on the web. Look on Pinterest

1. Make sure the potholder is a good size. If it is a plain square --and nothing wrong with that -- it should be 8" on the sides. Anything shaped should generously cover the hand.

2. Use Insul-Bright or a similar thermal fabric in the middle. This keeps the heat from coming through. A quarter yard of Insul-Bright costs $2 or less at Joann's.

It should go without saying that you should use clean cotton fabric and do your best work. Swap something you are proud of, and would like to receive in return.

Include a note for your partner with the name of the swap, your user name and date. When you receive the swap be sure to rate your partner. Not rating is rude!
