Description:

I used to love this swap idea, but haven't seen any posted lately, so thought I would go ahead and post one myself!

Look through any magazines, catalogs, free newspapers, etc and find a picture that will fit on a postcard (at least 4x6). Cut the picture out and paste it onto a piece of cardboard. (I like to use old cereal boxes, but I've heard that you can use cardstock too.) Feel free to embellish your picture, but make sure you use flat items like stickers or other paper so that it won't get stuck in the postal machines. When partners are assigned, send to your partner with a short note on the back.

Your card should be sent naked (stamped, written on, no envelope). This swap is sender's choice, but feel free to check your partners profile for ideas!

Note on postcard size: Postcard should be at least 4x6, if you make it larger, it may require additional postage.

Be sure to include your swap-bot id and name of swap so you can get rated. Please rate when you receive your postcard. You can not rate down if you don't like it.

This is a super-duper easy swap, so I'm going to allow Newbies. I will angel if needed (after you have tried to communicate with your partner and a 1 has been given), but please don't let that happen!

Dear Laterdayze [and all] I am excited to join your swap and decided to add some info here instead of just writing to you. You are calling your swap cut and paste and that is correct. I would like to introduce another name for those that haven't see it: FOUND ART. I have hosted a found art swap in the past and I have been in quite a few. I am sorry I am not giving credit to the right people but we have done FOUND ART swap for inchies [1 inch square pieces of art] and for Artist Trading Cards [2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches] . You carefully glue magazine or book pages to cardstock or backing of your choice to make it sturdy. Then you punch or cut down to a smaller size so edges are very neat. Regular postcards from 3 1/2 by 5 up to 4 by 6 inches require a postage stamp of 35 cents in the USA.. If you go larger your postcard can only be 6 1/4 inches high but can be 11 inches long for a regular forever [first class] stamp. I am not sure of the requirements for international mail. I look forward to playing in your swap and really hope some of your players will join some of my swaps in the future. So glad you are doing this. luckylynnl
