Description:

Bookish.com has an email newsletter that includes a 'book bingo' sheet for each month. I thought some of their challenges could be good for swaps.

Rather than being required to read enough books to get a "bingo" on the card, the monthly challenge will be to read just ONE book on the card, then, to finish out the rest of the row for your 'bingo', list a suggestion for those books. Include the title and author, but you don't need to include anything else.

You can find the link HERE The site has other challenges and such as well, if you're looking for those.

On a notecard or in a letter (typed or handwritten, either is fine - but NO postcards), list the title and author of the book you chose to read for January. List which category you chose from, and include a brief description of the book - either one you write, or use the blurb on the back cover, Good Reads, Amazon, etc.

Then, list titles and authors of books for the rest of the line to get your Bingo!

For example, I may choose "Title begins with J" for the book I read this month. So I will read 'Joyland" by Stephen King (for example) and write a description about that book. Then, I will need to list the titles and authors of 'A book I meant to read in 2018', 'An author you've never read', 'First in a series', 'Characters drink champagne'.

Does that make sense?

The other books you list do not have to be books you have personally read. Some of these categories are a bit tough! :) Just give it your best shot.

So, a recap. You will have 1 partner and send that partner a note card or letter with the title and author of the book you chose from the bingo categories, along with a brief description. Then, you will list the title and author of books for the remaining 4 categories for your bingo.

This swap will be International, as it will be lightweight to send. The letter or note card should be written in English, but you may, of course, read a book in any language you choose.

If you have any questions, please send me a PM. I'm lousy at checking the comments section. :(

I apologize for the small print of the photo. If you click the link, though, you can see the full 'card' on the website. If the link doesn't work the link is: https://www.bookish.com/articles/january-bookish-bingo/

Great swap idea! I probably won't have time to join, but I'll try! :)
