Welcome to the second of the 2020 Monday Mailer swaps! If you've been on this journey before or starting for the very first time, we're glad to have you. The idea is simple: you'll have one partner, and every week, preferably on Monday, you mail out an envelope/packet to her. This is a USA only swap to help ensure mailings arrive within a week. At the end of the swap, you should have received five mailings, and possibly made a new friend. I can testify to that! One of my dearest friends is a swapper I was paired with more than 10 years ago in a Monday Morning Mailer swap on another, now defunct, swap site. Every Monday you will mail your partner an envelope or package that contains:
The themes are broad and can be interpreted in any way. (If you'd like, your something to read and something to do can be related to the week's topic.) Please post below any suggestions for themes or Scripture for upcoming swaps. You can send anytime during the week. We began this series using Monday, then later in 2019 changed to any day of the week. For ease of swap description, I'm using Monday dates. And note that March is a five-Monday month! Monday, March 2: A introductory note or letter. Theme: How I found Swap-bot. Monday, March 9: Theme - Proverbs 27:9 Monday, March 16: Theme - Handmade with love Monday, March 23: Theme - Testimony Monday, March 30: Theme - Sender's choice UPDATE: March 24 See the note in chat below with two COVID-19 considerations added to this swap. Feel free to respond to your partner. Maybe a long-term friendship will indeed develop. Examples of something to read: a letter on the week's theme, an article, a short story or a book, a zine, a devotion, etc. Examples of something to do or try include, but are not limited to: craft kits, a Bible quiz or study, recipes, a profile-related project or activity, a mix CD to listen to, etc. Examples of surprises: bookmarks, postcards, art made by you, profile surprises (check your partner's profile for suggestions), anything related to faith or Christianity, etc. Rate your partner after receiving the fifth mailing. Thank you to all who have participated in this series so far! The 2020 schedule will be January, March, May, July, September, November. And since we had such a terrific Christmas Mailer in 2019, we'll plan to do it again. USA swappers. Group membership. Snail mail. |
